Bethany Bible Studies

The Bible declares that faith without action is a dead faith (James 2:17-18). As a church we desire to be more than a classroom or learning center solely for the sake of learning. Instead we hope to be an equipping center designed to grow, strengthen, and train believers, then send them into our city and global community as ambassadors and agents of Grace (2 Corinthians 5:18-20).

The following are some of the Bible Studies or series at Bethany running at present to help Equip People, to Encounter God, and Engage Our City

November (RE)NEW Challenge:
Find a friend in the church or someone you know who might be interested in learning about Jesus with you who may not know Him fully and read through 1 John together (perhaps a chapter or two per week). While you can do this however you want, I encourage you to set up a weekly time to talk (phone, over coffee, video chat, etc.) and discuss these three questions together after you read the different chapters:
(1) What stood out to me in my reading this week? Why?
(2) What does God want me to do with what I've read?
(3) What truth from this reading does God want me to share with someone? And with whom will I share it?
You will notice, these questions are geared to help us go both DEEP and WIDE with God's Truth. May God bless your reading, discussing and journeying together as you grow deeper in your "WHY" for following Jesus more passionately.

Repurpose. Reclaim. Rethink. Redo. Recharge. We reconsider and renew a lot of things in our lives on a regular basis. When is the last time you reevaluated your relationship with Jesus? When is the last time you revisited the powerful stories, invitations, questions, warnings or words of Jesus about following Him? Join us for re:DISCIPLE Sundays at 10:45am, during our Worship Service.

Fervent Bible Study

Fervent by Priscilla Shirer

Thursdays 9am - 10am beginning September 6 - November 15, 2018
Led by Debby Barbour

Prayer Matters...and there are practical steps for equipping you to making your prayer life stronger.
Fervent walks through the practical steps to improving your prayer life:
1. Your Passion: Get it back when it’s gone
2. Your Focus: Fight the real enemy
3. Your Identity: Remember who you are
4. Your Family: Fortify the lives of those around you
5. Your Past: End the reign of guilt, shame, and regret
...and these are only the first five of ten steps for developing prayer strategies that strike back at the enemy who is dead set on destroying all you hold dear and keeping you from experiencing abundant life in Christ.

Sundays in most of our Sunday Small Groups (9:45-10:30am)
The Bible is not a collection of stories. It is one story, the story of God’s plan to rescue His people from sin and death. It is the story of redemption, the gospel message of Jesus Christ... and it’s our story, too. The Gospel Project is a Bible study that invites Adults, Students, and Kids of all ages to dive deeply into God’s story of redemption through Jesus Christ.
