WHY JOIN A SMALL GROUP?

Small Groups are where the bigger church gets smaller. It allows us to meet new people, forge new relationships and grow  spiritually with others in similar and different life stages.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN SMALL GROUPS?

While each group is different in terms of content offered, every group offers individuals a relaxed and safe place to:  - Read Scripture and grow deeper together

- Ask questions and explore how Scripture applies to daily life

- Work together to serve others outside the group

- An extended-extended family inside the church (a city in the city, so-to-speak)

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT STUDIES (CONTENT) FOR THE DIFFERENT GROUPS?

Gospel Project (Adults, Kids, Teens)

The Gospel Project is all about the Gospel because the Gospel is all about Jesus. As Christians, it’s all too easy to  forget that. The Gospel Project is a Christ-centered, chronological Bible study that helps you see the Gospel isn’t a  New Testament thing – it’s a God thing. The GP shows the thread of the Gospel in every aspect of the Bible, from  Genesis to Revelation, and also how it connects our story to His story.

LifeLab

LifeLab Groups are where content meets context. Groups will discuss the Scripture and content from that day’s sermon  and talk about how they connect to daily discipleship and life. This study is meant to go deeper into the text and deeper  into real life application. Its focus is transformation from information.

Exegesis Study: Books of the Bible

Exegesis means to “pull from” or “take out from”. Exegetical study, then, seeks to study the Bible in a way that  doesn’t put meaning into the Word but asks questions that seek to pull from the text what the text is really trying  to say. Then, to work together as a group to see how that text calls us to respond in every aspect of our lives.

Bible Studies for Life (KJV)

Discipleship is the lifestyle of walking with God. While discipleship takes a lifetime, the day-to-day work is no  mystery. Bible Studies for Life is a research-backed, biblical model of discipleship where every session is designed to  provide a balanced, relatable, and age-appropriate group Bible study experience.

WHAT’S EXPECTED OF ME IN SMALL GROUPS?

The biggest part is showing up. After that it’s being yourself. Each of us are at different points in our spiritual journeys, have  different gifts, have different backgrounds and insights, and have different passions. It’s not really about what’s “expected of  you” as much as it is “what’s in it for you”. You will get as much out of the groups as you put into them. You will connect with  others as much as you seek to build relationships. When it comes to discussions, reading and asking questions you are free to contribute as much or as little as you like, but groups that have multiple voices, thoughts and personalities talking, discussing and  asking questions will have the greater likelihood of being healthier and stronger. Not to mention, they will be the livelier groups  that tend to laugh, share life and find greater enjoyment together.
